Expressing likes and dislikes/Tetszés, nem tetszés kifejezése

LIKES:

If something is good or perfect, people say:

–          It’s magic!

–          It’s brilliant!

–          Excellent!

–          Wicked!

If somebody does something very well, people say:

–          You’re a star.

–          She’s a genius.

If an idea or a plan is great, people say:

–          ’Let’s go and watch this film.’ ’Cool.’

–          ’I’ll give you a ring tonight.’ ’Great.’

If something is fashionable, people say:

–          I know a really hip/cool club.

–          Those shoes are very trendy.

–          What a groovy skirt!

To describe an attractive person, people say:

–          He is drop-dead gorgeous.

–          She is fit.

 

DISLIKES:

If something is not good, people say:

–          It’s rubbish/(a pile of) pants/(a load of) crap.

If somebody cannot do anything well, people say:

–          You’re useless.

–          What a loser!

–          He’s a real waste of space.

If something or somebody is ordinary or tasteless, people say:

–          That’s a rather naff jacket.

If a person or an activity is boring, people say:

–          Staying at home all weekend watching TV is pretty sad.

If somebody is considered to be stupid, people say:

–          You dummy!

–          What a moron.

If we have a boring activity to do, people say:

–          It’s a pain in the neck having to stay indoors and work.

–          That’s a real drag.
