        Both  ..and…  = „ … is…is”

• Both Mary and Peter go to the cinema. (Két mondatrész összekapcsolása.)

       Either … or…   = „ …vagy…vagy”

• You either eat your breakfast or I’ll be angry. (Két tagmondat közötti választás.)

• I will have either tea or coffee. (Két mondatrész közötti választás.)

• Either English or French is used in Canada. (Két mondatrész közötti választás.)

      Neither…nor …  = „ …sem…sem”

      No only… but also/ as well   = „ nemcsak…hanem…is”

• He did well thanks to our help. (Csak főnév/ gerund előtt használható.)

          So that/ In order that   = „ valamilyen célból” (Különböző alanyoknál.)

• Jill stayed at home so that/ in order that William could go out with his friends.

         So as to/ In order to  = „valamilyen célból” (Azonos alany esetében.)

• She stayed at home in order to/ so as to watch TV.

Exercise: Translate the following sentences into English.
